Xelqua was a Watcher. This meant he was an all-powerful being that had reality-bending powers and the ability to create worlds with the snap of a finger and destroy it with a thought. He was one of the most powerful beings in the universe, all-knowing, all-seeing, and all respected. He hated it.

The Watcher-Prime
Xelqua (or Grian to the hermits) isn't sure what he is. He's always hidden from Minecraftia, hidden behind various masks and hoods. If the full truth about the mysterious prime admin were to be revealed the entire world would face catastrophic consequences. As the watchers rise to prevail over the admins, and Minecraftia is thrown into dark turmoil, Grian will have to make a choice. A choice that could destroy the entire world along with all his friends. The Higher Powers are Grian's only chance to save Minecraftia. Only to find their descendants, Grian will have to journey through ancient servers with his fellow hermits and keep his identity secret. Truths are revealed. Promises are broken. And a web of lies threatens to be destroyed forever. "Did I have a choice?" Remembrance | Hermitcraft Fanfiction
When Grian joined Hermitcraft, he had no idea how he'd gotten there. Or who he was (other than his name). In fact, he didn't remember anything about his past life at all. So he starts over on Hermitcraft, making new friends and starting a new life. However, as time goes by, he starts remembering more about himself, bit by bit, seeing his past life through dreams and memories.
