Ashley, who is a young successful black entrepreneur, born and bred in the city of New York, finds joy in all fields of life. However, she faces a particular struggle of being dissatisfied in her sex life with her partner, Robert, who is unable to properly satisfy her sexual needs. She confides in her mother, Lori Rose, who counsels her to exercise patience with Robert. Not being firmly moved by the advice of her mother, Ashley further pours out her heart to her best friend Diane, who recommends she goes to 'The Carnal Clinic',  a sexual clinic specialized in procuring remedies to the intimate difficulties of men and women. At the clinic, she meets Jacob, a CST, who assists in recommending solutions that would overcome her challenges.
