Emotion Note
Emilia Roth never cared about emotions. After years of suppressing her own feelings, she sees them as nothing more than a distraction. But that changes the night she finds the Emotion Note, a mysterious black notebook with an unsettling instruction: "Write a full name. Write down the description of the emotion that you wish for that person to feel. What is written will play out exactly as described." Skeptical but curious, Emilia experiments. She makes a scam artist feel crippling guilt, a catcaller experience paralyzing fear, and an old friend relive love so overwhelming it drowns out all else. Each emotion unfolds exactly as she described, no matter how poetic-or cruel-her wording. But power has a cost. The more she uses the Emotion Note, the more she begins to feel unfamiliar emotions herself-waves of sorrow, flashes of rage, bursts of hysterical joy. She soon realizes the horrifying truth: emotions aren't created, only transferred. Every feeling she forces onto another must come from someone-or something. And now, it's watching her.
Second Chance
The past was just a memory until he walked through her door. Now, she's facing everything she left behind...and the one person she never really let go of. In a story of second chances and hidden truths, some flames refuse to die. *** "You don't get it, do you? I've been tearing myself apart trying to let you go, convincing myself I could forget you. But here I am-again-and it kills me that I still care."Complete
The kindred heart:Love after trauma
In a world where words can heal and images can capture the truth, two lost souls collide in an unlikely encounter. Kenney, a young poet whose heart has been shattered by the weight of unrequited love, spends his days pouring his emotions into verses that no one hears. His words are both his refuge and his prison, a fragile connection to a world that once promised him hope but left him broken. Love has betrayed him, and now, all he knows is the quiet pain of longing and the impossible task of mending his heart through poetry. Quinn, a talented photographer, has a sharp eye for beauty-but it's the dark side of humanity she captures. She's spent years hiding from the lustful gazes of men, the raw desire in their eyes making her skin crawl. To her, love seems tainted by obsession, and she's sworn to protect herself from its destructive forces. But in her lens, she sees the raw truth of people's souls-without the masks they wear for the world. When their paths cross, a connection forms that neither expected. For Kenney, Quinn becomes the sunlight he never knew he needed, a force that slowly uncovers the dark corners of his world. Her quiet strength and unspoken understanding illuminate his poetry, allowing him to see the beauty in his own pain again. In Quinn's presence, he feels a glimmer of hope-a light that chases away the shadows of his broken heart. Together, they navigate their wounds-one through his delicate poetry, the other through her evocative photographs-searching for healing in the aftermath of pain. But love, once lost, is never easy to reclaim, and in their fragile bond, the line between healing and hurting becomes more blurred with every shared moment. "The Kindred Heart" is a poignant exploration of the scars that love leaves behind, the courage it takes to trust again, and the healing that only comes when you dare to see someone for who they truly are.
