Eli never had much childhood to remember. Always moving, never staying. But this time, his parents promised to stay longer than a year. Yeah, right, Eli thought.
Making his new friends was easy at this point. He knew what he had to say or do. But when he got invited to his friend's house for a party, and he decided to go, his life changed. It's a hard thing for a kid to handle, seeing the bodies on the floor, and hearing gunshots through the walls.

The year is 1983 and they live in a small town everyone knows each other, they're all neighbors and good friends. One day, a criminal escapes from prison, police don't have much information because this criminal is smart even if they don't have as much education as a usual criminal would. Without spoiling anything, the criminal so happens to escape and flee to the town where Elijah and William reside in. Elijah has a crush on a girl named Misty, also known as Melissa... He doesn't know the real truth about her, nor does his own group of friends. Trouble begins after the first known attack. He seemed to have the perfect life but then again, no one truly knew him so I'd guess that was an assumption.
