Lily Peters is just a normal girl living in a somewhat normal world. Until one night she has the strangest dream... And she can't seem to wake up from it.
Her dream takes her all the way back to the 1950's. Drive-in movies, dancing, and of course Greasers. She wakes up in a house that isn't her's... Well it is her's but it has a totally different style than what it is supposed to be. She has different parents that call her by her name, that treat her like she's their daughter.
She has to stay on the "Down-low" though just in case it messes anything up in the future. But it's so hard when there's this boy. This boy named Johnny Westly. The leader of the group of Greasers she goes to school with. He's attracted to her and can't stay away from her.
What happens whenever she wakes up? Dreams don't always come back around...
