28 parts Ongoing 'Marriage'
The word itself makes me want to run away. It is an ultimate societal expectation, a commitment for lifetime. But for me, it's a suffocating institution, stifling individuality, and freedom. Two people bound together by law and expectations, lose themselves and their identity in the process. Though, I have no past related to this, I have seen plenty of people extinguishing their dreams just to settle into a marriage.
Isn't is weird?
Marriages and the concept of love terrified me, until I met her. Her eyes, sparkling like diamonds, and her single smile could illuminate my thousand darknesses. With her, time lost it's meaning. Hours dissolved into moments, and moments into eternity. For the first time, I questioned my stance on marriage.
Could I envision a future with her?
Perhaps love Isn't a prison, but a liberation.
For her, it was just a contract, but for me, it was a lifelong promise to her!
