You never truly appreciate something until it's gone. For Jade, it was being able to see the wonders  of the world. For Adam, it was his mother. 

Jade wants nothing more than to be able to see the beauty of everything again but to Adam, all he sees is a world with unruly terror lying behind all the beautiful lies.
