thinks there is a threat.

Johanna Runner is 18, and the top of her class. She has 72 kills to her name, and was in one of the earliest groups of babies. Nearly every student in the assassin training regime hates her, because they all want to be the Grand Magistrate's favorite. There have been five attempts on her life by students.

One day, she is sent on a mission to kill the head of a resistance group. It is a fairly simple mission, with no hitches, until Johanna catches a glimpse of the leader's daughter, and feels her first emotion in years: Love at first sight.
