He can control and direct the blade petals by slashing at his target with the hilt of his sword or by his mind. Because of this he tried everything he could think of to try make his mom's or dad's quirks work but absolutely nothing did. As he was slowly pushed away by everyone except for his mother, he had no one, no friends or anything, because of this he gained the hobby of drawing to help him cope with the loneliness. Years passed by and he finally accepted that he was quirkless and because of that everyone all but increased in the bullying making Izuku even more isolated. But then one day something changed when after he was bullied and he was at home drawing, his quirk finally showed itself. @JaydenFleisher writes the description for each chapter and I write the story itself
