What would you do if one second you were struggling to survive with your friends and mother in tow, and then you wake up to find yourself with a group of strangers the next - all during the country's takeover of blood-thirsty zeds? Megan couldn't believe her eyes. Her brain was muddled with confusion she couldn't get rid of, no matter how many times those strangers reassured her and explained what happened. But she had to accept it, even though it didn't make any sense to her. Megan had been with her mother every step of the way since everything turned to chaos, beginning just a year before, and now she was nowhere to be seen. And on top of that, she had the zeds to deal with. Ghastly creatures that used to be human, carrying a virus that's spread through a constant hunger for flesh from the host, spreading through bites and scratches. It didn't exactly make it easy to prevent getting infected. Things could have been worse, though, Megan thought. She could've been left all alone to ponder over her thoughts and fear over the future. It'll only be within the time spent with the new group will she find out that everything's not as happy and welcoming as it had seemed. These people had a few secrets of their own, including the real reason they took Megan in. Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along. Like Eyeless Jack having a girlfriend and Bloody Painter actually had a very caring friend? Well, what if I told you that these two people are sisters and their father happens to be someone in the mansion? Let me explain. Eyeless Jack's girlfriend, Heather, went to MIT with Jack; studying to be an engineer while Jack was studying to be a doctor. They had started dating in high school, when Heather was a junior and Jack was a senior. By the time Heather had made it to MIT, Jack was already two semester's in, and when their three year anniversary came by; Jack proposed. However, only a few days went by before Jack disappeared. This sent Heather into a spiral, attempting to figure out just what had happened to him and denying he was gone... Now, onto Bloody Painter's story. Sure, Bloody Painter had known Puppeteer just before both of them turned to Creepypasta's, but Bloody Painter had another friend by the name of Skylor. She was only a couple of years younger than him and was considered a sister to him. The two had stuck together since the middle of their high school years and were in college for the same major: art. Though, when she heard the news of kids being killed, their blood used for murals and then him not showing to class made her worry. After a few days, she started to hear rumors of a 'Bloody Painter' and went to search online, finding that the story was the same as her friend and made it her mission to contact him and figure out a way for her to help him. While the two had good intentions, some things should be left alone. Otherwise, things may not go exactly according to plan.Complete
