The series follows the reign of Sultan Süleyman (r. 1520-1566), known in the West as Suleiman the Magnificent.
At age 26 Suleiman takes the throne. During his reign he gathers many sons and one daughter. Only one son may take the throne (not necessarily the eldest). 
During his early reign a concubine called Alexandra (Hurrem) catches his eye and sets his works on fire. Historically Hurrem is one of the most powerful and influential women of the Ottoman dynasty.

This is a synopsis of each episode of the award winning show. 
Please go to watch on YouTube. It will have you captivated, researching history, in awe of the Ottoman Empire, impressed, angry and most of all sleepless nights from watching the show).

This is my interpretation. Please comment if I say anything wrong.
I will try my best to keep personal opinions of characters at bey. But as you will read on it is difficult not to take sides.   

I have started the synopsis whilst on episode 115. I will log back and rewatch the show and add the synopsis for the previous episodes

This Hatun has no connections with any of the Bey's family. Her Baba and Abi continue to effortlessly fight under the name of Kayi with no recognition. Being aged only 13 she had to marry for a governor of Bosnia and move away from her family. Her only wish was to stay there forever, but the life brought her back to Istanbul. The idea for this book came to me after watching Magnificent Century. I don't own any charachter except Fahriye, Namik, Gulcemal, Fehime and Osman who are completely made up by me. Some minor charachters who will appear are also made by me. All the gifs are taken from tumblr and they belong to their makers.

When war and love gets combined then love and hate are bond to clash and meet in the middle, and that is exactly how it happened to Katherina. She was the princess and her word was superior, she was the apple of her father's eye and the precious pearl of her mother. This idea came to me after watching the famous show "Magnificent Century". The characters don't belong to me excluding Katherina who I made up. The plotline will be changed in the future so Katherina will get the ending I want her to. Hurrem still exists just not like she was in the show.

Being an Ottoman sultana gave you a lot of power, but being born as an Ottoman sultana gave you even more power than anyone could imagine. Elmas sultan was born as a sultana, her father was Sultan Selim Khan I and her mother was Valide Ayşe Hafsa Sultan and her brother was Sultan Suleiman I. Elmas was one of her father's favorite daughters and her brother's favorite sister which also meant she gets what she wants all the time. But life hasn't always been good to her. ⚠️WARNING!
