A time before the dragons met the Pantalan dragons, and the Sandwing Succession. Peace reigns overhead of the tribes for once... but for how long? Apparently not long enough..
A new enemy threatens all of Pyrrhia from the new discoveries of the Nightmarewings and Dreamwings. Their intentions are unknown, but the future doesn't look too high. The nightmarewings consuming the souls of once good dragons. Completely removing loved ones and replacing them with their vile kin. The rise of nightmares is springing forth a new dawn. A new fear. Dreamwings are the one true hope that the continent has to stay safe, and maybe some rare nightwings could help settle the restless minds of those asleep. The dreams are... awakening.
In the mist of the minds, Lucidwings dwell unnoticed. Though they are not waiting around either. Which side will these dragons take? Are they good? Are they bad? No one knows. Only one thing the tribes of Pyrrhia know.. the Nightmarewings are not willing to show mercy.

Vein has been taught his whole life on how to "kill first, ask later" at his school. His fighting camp was dark, dreary and blood-looking, and it was no surprise that Vein wanted to escape. Sure, he liked his family---but when a nasty incident over his older sister's death occurred, he has to flee the only camp he knows. Soon he takes refugee with TimeWings. But after another accidental disaster, Vein doesn't think the TimeWings trust him. One TimeWing hates him so much, that she wishes to use her magic on him. At least, that's what Vein thinks. Imprisonment by TimeWings is embarrassing enough, but becoming friends with one was more than crazy. But as the TimeWing that hates him grows meaner and meaner, Vein knows she has to be stopped . . . before the Island of Grinnen is destroyed under her talons. The Rainforest Kingdom was being torn apart by its residents. The RainWing's and NightWing's. Queen Dandelion and King Palmtree are doing nothing to calm down their tribe, so, someone else has to. Lavender is an seven year old dragonet who belongs to both tribes. She's a hybrid, born from her RainWing mother and NightWing father. Her life is wonderful, at least in her family and small village close to the edge of the Rainforest. But, she's starting to notice the change within everyone, as if they know something is coming, something bad. Lavender wants to keep her kingdom safe, just like all dragons do, but she also wants to keep everyone connected and stop them from being torn apart. Will she be able to fix the ties that brought the RainWing's and NightWing's together? Or will they be split apart and she'll be stuck between torn sides. ------------------------ The Wings of Fire series is written by Tui T. This takes place over 3,000 years ago, when the very first enchanted one is born under the 4 full moons. His name was Lucifer, an Electricwing. The most powerful being in existence.He has powers such as mind reading, seeing the future, shapeshifting, and enchanting objects and people. Unfortunately, he had a violent childhood. His father tried to kill him when he found out about his powers, his abusive mother, and getting death threats from his peers and other tribes, and now... Lucifer wants revenge and to take control of the other tribes. He became King (the very first king) and reigns for over 1,000 years. Who will stop Lucifer's rage and save the world?

Food is plentiful, no one ever fights, and even in the midst of war, the kingdom is quiet. Chameleon would never expect anything bad to happen in the forest. A normal dragonet at first, Chameleon discovers that the RainWings are anything but nice. After a nasty encounter, he gains a snout deformity that affects his scales. He suddenly discovers that he has no respect, no friends, and no hope. Eventually, Chameleon is exiled for one simple reason: He is different from everyone else. And then the RainWings do something that Chameleon would never forgive them for. Brimming with fury, Chameleon sets out to prove everyone that indeed he is different- but better than them all. But nothing could prepare Chameleon for what he discovers out in the wilds of Pyrrhia- something so influential that not even Chameleon himself could grasp the true power of it. Now he discovers he has a chance of rewriting his identity, his history, and his future.
