"Nudam te vidi" is my latin translation of "Fornocht do chonac thú", a poem by Pádraic Mac Piarais (Patrick Pearse, 1879-1916). Written originally in Irish Gaelic, it was translated in English by the same Pearse with the title "Ranunciation".
I thank Roberta Ghisolfi for her help with the latin text, and Molly Nic Céile, for her help with the irish original text.

POEM COMPILATION *** Under the gaze of the moonlight, The stars asked three people that night, "What will you give in exchange for my light?" The doctor answered, "I'll give you my sight, So you will see the world in someone's eyes." The teacher said, "I'll offer you my wisdom, So you will build knowledge in your kingdom." The last one who talk only seldom, Stared at the stars with a lonely smile, "I am a poet, and I will not lie, I cannot give you a sight, nor I can be wise, I have nothing in my life but sadness only, So I offer you the RHYMES OF MY MELANCHOLY."
