"We caused the end of the world. Turns out it's easier than you might think it is. All you need is a group of eco anarchists and an ounce of magic, and the world goes down in a poof." After another manic episode, Phoenix gets written off his parents' will, and he's trying to find a reason to keep living. Causing the end of the world and being the only one who can save the world wasn't exactly what he had in mind. Phoenix wasn't meant to have magical abilities, and he most definitely shouldn't have been able to make all the money in the world disappear just by thinking about it. To make matters worse, it came with a minor side effect: a disease called Gold fever. In other words, people started to turn into gold. Over the course of a single day, Phoenix becomes the most hated person in the world. As the economy collapses around them, only three of his friends are willing to stay by his side. Their job is to keep Phoenix alive while he tries to make money reappear and find a cure to Gold fever. Which turns out to be more challenging than they thought, as they find out someone is tailing Phoenix with the intention to kill.Complete

Sound of a Broken Drum
Syd is living on the edge of his broken psyche when he comes across the person he had been waiting his entire life to meet. As things flourish, the rude awakening of the edict "nothing gold can stay" changes the tune of Syd's life as he finds out a truth that is completely devastating. And in the world of mental illness, this is a particularly harsh reality where Syd has to make a difficult decision on what he has to give up in his life. But even a broken drum has to keep beating. The entire story has been published from Chapter 1 to the Epilogue. It is broken into three parts, each quite distinct from the others as Syd's life is altered dramatically. This thing is a labor of love. After completing the story, I realized how much it meant to me personally. I learned things about myself I did not know until I wrote it. I feel as if from writing "Sound of a Broken Drum", my life has changed. In the way I perceive it and in the way I perceive the world around me. This story is not for everyone. There are a lot of people I know who would never want to read something like this. It's not for the apathetic, the privileged, the ones who coast and indulge in the bullshit. I know a lot of people like that. Maybe I wrote it as a means to get away from them. There are certainly people I feel who would read something like this. The mentally-pained, the loners, introverts, the lonely, those who struggle through the everyday things many people take for granted. Those who know too much. And feel too much. I know what that is like. And I know this is why I wrote it. Because we can share each other's experiences through words, no one has to ever feel like they are alone, regardless of how distant the world is. And regardless of how much trash and clutter from society there is in the way of your field of vision, always know there are those few you will find who will make the struggle well-worth it. The events and themes within my pages have meaning, depth, truth-and most of all, reality. You are about to be taken on an adventure about a girl who's life is not like everybody else's. I look like a normal teen girl, I mean, I have hair and two eyes and two hands and feet like everybody else, but I couldn't feel more different. I have two moms, yes. Let's just get that out there before you start reading and close my diary like everyone in my life has shut me out of theirs. All I want is a normal life with normal friends who don't judge me because of my home situation. I don't even remember the last time I went on a sleepover or called somebody my age. I don't mean to be a downer, because it does get better. Life gets better. Struggles are only temporary, I know that now. I know now that I'm not the only one in the world that feels alone. I've been there, done that, and there's more loneliness to come, but for now, I feel more prepared for it. I know how it feels to sit by yourself at lunch every day and how it feels to watch others go to prom with dates and feel like shit because you don't think you'd even have any friends to go with.
