May Matthew's is a secret service agent who ends up charged with protecting President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thus starting a friendship between the pair. He arranges for May and her sister Lilly to take a vacation to Ukraine days before war breaks out. May finds herself thrown in the midst of war once again when she volunteers to fight alongside Ukrainian soldiers. Things heat up between the two.

A/N: a majority of this story while May and Lilly are in Ukraine they will be speaking Ukrainian. Because I do not speak or write in Ukrainian it will be written in English. Also at some point the war does end. I know the war is still on going I just want the relationship to progress past the war. To all Ukrainians who may read this story I'm sorry if anything doesn't seem right with your people or country I am not Ukrainian and just want to pay tribute to you amazing people and your amazing country as well as your brave president and this is the best way I know how.
