Book 1 of The Fly Series . . . His eyes turn red and his jaw begins to tremble. "I'm toxic. I'm arrogant. I'm awful. What else? I'm a misogynist. A sadist. There's no good in me. I screwed up your life. I disgust you. I insulted your mother. You won't ever forgive me." He tightens his jaw before slamming his hand on the wall beside my head. "I know you want to say these things so say it. Tell me, Firefly. Tell me how traumatizing I am. TELL ME!" I don't hesitate. "I love you." His hooded eyes flaming with anger turn pale. He never expected the confession. Heck, I never expected this confession. 𝘕𝘰 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘢 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘯 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘺. . . . Elena Summer is an upbeat, optimistic girl who is hopeful of a bright happy future despite her dark turbulent past. She is all set to begin her Senior Year back in her hometown--the one that the Summers eloped from when she was three. Justin Castor is the byword for toxicity, arrogance, and cold behavior. He isn't a bully by nature, he's a bully by choice. He embraces the darkness as his kingdom. But every dark villain is known to have a darker past, right? Less of a grumpy-sunshine genre and more of a dark-meets-light spin-off when the city of Cadford unites these paradoxes with one tangled story that all leads back to the past. After some rustling inside the bathroom, the door finally opens and I almost drop the clothes I'm holding. Kameron only has a towel wrapped around his waist, droplets of water dripping from his hair, down his chest, and disappearing underneath his towel. I try not to follow the path of one of the drops of water. It takes all of my self-control to look him in the eyes and no where else. I have a boyfriend. Austin. Remember him? "What do you what?" His voice is somehow even hotter. It's matured now. It's deep and a bit rough. "What does it look like? I need to shower." I say back, gesturing with the clothes I'm holding. "Shouldn't you be going to bed?" "I'm not a little girl anymore. I don't have a set bedtime." I narrow my eyes at him. He's always treated me like I'm his best friend's annoying little sister. "Yeah, I can tell." He suddenly says, suggestively running his eyes down my body. I try not to shiver from the feel of his eyes on me. I clear my throat to get his eyes back to mine. "You can move now." "Oh, can I?" He raises an eyebrow and I glare at him in return. "Relax, little girl, I'm messing with you." He rolls his eyes before walking past me. I can smell the scent of his body soap on him. Fresh, clean, and earthy with a hint of spice. I can't help but glance behind me and watch him go into his room. I can already tell this vacation is going to be a disaster. -Not revised yet, may be spelling errors & mistypes -Also on Inkitt -Dual POV

Something hit the side of my laptop screen and fell onto the floor. It was a paper airplane. There was a message written inside. "You look pretty hot in a towel. You should wear that more often." -Colton I was shocked when I read the note. I looked out my open window to see a guy sitting on the edge of the window of the house next door. He was looking right at me. _____________ At the start of Rachel Summers' senior year of high school, new neighbors move in next door. One of these neighbors is Colton Miller, who is also a high school senior. First impressions can say a lot about a person. Colton learns this the hard way when he first meets Rachel. Starting out on an unpleasant note, Rachel and Colton must learn how to accept each other for who they are, as they are forced to spend time with each other. This marks the beginning of their story and all they will encounter together. ---------------- *Some Mature Themes*
