December, 2001, New Year's Day, Kate is born, but she was born at exactly 12:00 PM. Her entire life has been normal, until about a year ago, when she started to understand what animals were saying around her.
They wouldn't necessarily talk to her, she could just understand them.
And they could understand her.
After an outburst with her father, she's kidnapped by mysterious men and taken to some sort of psych ward where she discovers new people, animals...
