In the despair-laden depths of the Underground City, two souls violently intertwine. Both are desperate for freedom and to keep those they love safe, and both are willing to kill the other in order to get what they want.

However, living with the ever-present threat of the man-devouring Titans just beyond the walls, will they realise that fate brought them together for a reason, or will they end up damning each other to death?

This is the prequel to my fanfic 'The Path Back to You', based off Hajime Isayama's "Attack on Titan"/"Shingeki no Kyojin". I therefore do not own many of the characters, locations, and some of the storylines. I have kept some dialogue and scenarios the same as they are in the original in order to make the story work better and to keep characters consistent. I own the main character (Anastasya Morozova) and other original characters, scenes, locations, dialogue etc. and these are under copyright protection. Please do not use them.

Please be wary of spoilers from any of the AOT OVAs and Season 1.

This fanfiction was written purely for enjoyment to add to and embellish a universe I truly love, and to improve my writing and character development. If you enjoy this story, please check out the original manga and the anime!

But the once question you had running through your head was, would you help him and finally show yourself? Or would you let all of humanity suffer? You always knew there was something you could do, as the only titan with a name. (I do not own any characters, except mine of course.
