Gerard Way has a thing about needles. God he hates them. Their look, their ice cold touch everything. Yet he finds himself working at a tattoo shop for two years. He designs tattoos and often tattoos others but not himself. Never. Never going to happen.
Next door is where Frank iero sits. The flower shop is his. He arranges flowers for every occasion. His pale skin contains no colourful tattoos and he simply has no desire to cover himself in the art work.
However one day Gerard comes into the flower shop and both the men's lives begin to warp and change, hopefully for the better.

Gerard way and Frank Iero have always passed each other in the hallway but never spoke a word to one another. They are both alike in many ways. Both loners who feel like they don't quite belong. Frank mostly spends his days depressed and alone. The occasional hurtful remarks from his fellow classmates and father wearing him down. Frank's family issues seem to swallow him hole which is mainly why he feels like throwing in the towel... permanently. Gerard lives to protect those he cares about. Though, he has a bit of an edgy attitude most people learn to respect. There's more to Gerard than what the outside shows. His brother Mikey and best friend Ray know glimpses of how he really feels, and how complications from the past really fuck with his behavior. But, their differences don't keep them apart considering these strangers are forced into each other's lives when Gerard finds Frank attempting to commit suicide.
