Tanya is an only child, lives with her mom and dad, has a cat named Amber, and goes to church every Sunday.

Seems pretty normal, right?

My name is Tanya. And I also thought my life was normal.

January 18, 2011. I was at church with my parents, Robert and Angie Peters. It was basically your typical Sunday -- I'd just finished my sixth-grade catechism class in the church basement, we were at church, and Dad was planning on going home to watch the game while Mom took me to my grandmother's for brunch.

But twenty minutes into the forty-five minute service, my father's expression changed. He excused himself and went to the bathroom in the basement.

I thought nothing of it. Until he didn't come back up. My mother sent one of my father's friends to the men's room to check on him. He came back up right after.

And then he told us the Lord had spoken to him.
