A Pureblood and A Muggleborn

I have had this idea for a while and have not been able to find anything similar so I have decided to write it myself. I have made changes from the book, harry was never born, James and Lily were never married and Neville is kind of the chosen one, but that holds a different meaning now.

What would happen if a Pureblood Slytherin had a loving and supportive upbringing by his adopted family and fell in love with a muggleborn, can they together bring together the houses and change the outcome of the war? Family is reunited as you follow them through school at Hogwarts and the affects the first war had on the parents generation.
