Since Cybertronians were scarce, the Decepticons wanted human females to be turned so they could continue the bloodline. Starting with Optimus Prime's weakness. Optimus didn't want Kennedy to be forced into becoming a Cybertronian, he wanted her to make that choice. Four years pass and Kennedy is feeling guiltier by the day for not telling her brother what happened while she was in Chicago. Four years have passed since she has seen her husband. So he thought of the next best thing. He thought it wasn't a terrible idea, since he would be giving a home to someone who needed it. So he adopted Naomi. He brought her home and treated her like family. The only thing Naomi ever truly wanted, she just had to wait till she was eight for it to happen. (This is just a fanfiction, I do not own one little bit of the transformers franchise. Any little extra bits that where not in the movie is something I wrote in, because why not.)
