Pitch Black has failed as he was cast back to the shadows of fear and despair. Now, alone and with powers weakened, Pitch has perhaps found a different way to ascend to power. Preying on children was where he went wrong. Children are protected by the Guardians. No matter the plan, it would be foiled so long as Pitch targeted the young.

But what if a child has reached outside of the realm of their protection? What if a child were to age out of the mystical belief of those heroes?

Pitch has found that feasting on the fear of pubescent teens is a much more potent fountain of fear.

And there wouldn't be anything the guardians or that pesky Man in Moon could do about it.
