Rick Mason, a kid who was always dealt the short hand of the stick in life, but on the day of the Speed Force storm, Rick was at first surprised when given super speed, and didn't initially wanted anything to do with it at first...but that changed once he started realizing just how easy this made being a thief. And now, with a suit that was "borrowed" from S.T.A.R. Labs, he is known as Gold Rush and uses his newfound powers for his own benefit and no one else's.

Wanting to be a superhero and becoming one, are two completely different things. But becoming the opposite? That's way easier. And sometimes it's not on purpose. Fate didn't want me to be a hero.
