Again that part of me was hoping... wishing I would see those green eyes that belonged to the boy who saved me, hurt me, and let me go.

"Thank you for coming." I whispered to Five, who was now leaning over me, inches from my lips. "I wouldn't leave you Janessa, you that right?" He replied in a soft voice. I looked at him unconvined.

"Not now, not ever." He continued

Janessa has always felt like she wasn't loved and wanted, but then she met a boy. They fought, a lot. They threw more than insults to each other. But they had a bond, so entirely strong.

Once Grayson and I reached my home, he stayed for a moment longer. I stared up at him, he reached out to me, and tucked a lock of my hair behind my ear. I blushed as his fingers brushed against my skin. He tilted my chin up towards him. I shuddered and looked up at him through my lashes. I lightly gripped his upper arm. His face hovered over mine. His hot, shallow breath against my lips made me shift. He slipped his other arm around my back, and pulled me gently towards him. "Lyla..." My name on his lips felt like I was lighter than air. The part of me that is trying to resist this kicks in, "Grayson... no, I-I can't." I whispered. I was surprised how my smooth and innocent my voice was sounding. My plea just made him hold me tighter, "And why not?" He asked gently. His eye bore a hole in me, right in the center of my heart. The place that wanted me the most to love him unconditionally and to hold onto him and never let him go. "Because May will be mad." I replied. I closed my eyes, bracing myself for the warmth of his lips to overwhelm me. He stayed where he was, his lips just out of reach. He was teasing me. I opened my eyes, and looked into his. The cunningness and he way he flattened his eyelids over half of his eyes made me shudder in excitement again. There was something else in his eyes. Something I've never seen before. He was looking at me in a way no other man and ever. "I don't care about her anymore." He whispered against my lips.

"Felix, she's just going to turn you dark. Please, let me help." I said and his eyes looked upset for a second before they just turned blank again. "I don't need your help. I don't need you, I'm happy with Crimson, you were the one who didn't complete your job." He said and I was taken aback. It sounded so real, like Felix was actually saying it, it seemed as though talking to a Felix that wasn't Felix was harder than I could've ever imagined. "No you're not. She's forcing you to do this. Felix look at me, this isn't you. Please, don't let her control you." I said, my voice was now pleading and Felix's eyes seemed to grow tired, he looked at me with such sadness and tiredness that it broke me. I felt tears falling down my face. He raised his hand and wiped away one of my tears. "She's not. I choose her. I don't love you." He said and I took a step back, the tears falling out of my eyes seemed to betray me. "This isn't you. I know you Felix." I said and his eyes turned dark and my heart seemed to fall apart. I couldn't do this. "You don't know me Scarlett, you never did. You were so concerned about all your problems, you couldn't help me if you even tried." He said and I felt as though the wind had been knocked out of me as I hit the wall and slowly sunk down. "Felix, please remember me. Remember us. We can do this, remember our promise? We wouldn't let anything separate us?" I said, my breath seemed to be knocked out of my lungs as I looked at his blank expression. I was out of energy, I was trying so hard to save a boy that couldn't be saved, I felt as though I had failed him. "Scarlett. Stop trying to save someone who doesn't need saving." He said and with the last bit of fight in me I jumped up on my toes and kissed him.

"Make we keep this professional then, yeah?" I nodded slowly, one hand in my pants pocket. "What?" Her brows creased. "I'll be your tutor and nothing else. Nuh need dis pan a personal level," I explained. Maybe it's for the best. And mi still a convince miself dat cause it still hurt me. Mi vex wid her... Wicked too. Cause she fuck up. She licked her lips and looked down at the desk before saying, "...but that isn't what I want. I have agreed to give you time." Time. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. "Yuh nuh get fi choose that still eno. This is what I want and those are my boundaries. Respect them or find someone else fi tutor yuh, simple." I sighed, scratching my head. Mi just nuh wah di drama and foolishness. Or the back and forth. Cya dweet right now... Or at all. "You...changed," She said, looking at me. "Would'a seh di same bout you too... But change nuh too faze me still..." I shrugged my shoulders. // Liam was once a bright, joyful child until something shattered his world at just nine years old. Whatever happened that year left scars too deep to see, turning smiles into silence and laughter into rage. By fifteen, he was behind bars. Now eighteen, he's out with one last shot: six months to finish high school and finally leave his past behind. He's focused. Detached. Determined to stay invisible - no fights, no friends, no drama. Then he sees her. Kazierah. His childhood crush. His first kiss. The girl he never forgot. ...the one he never stopped loving even when he wanted to. She's changed too. She had more friends and she was more social than he remembered. They never dated, never made it official, but the connection between them always ran deep... too deep to ignore now. And as old feelings resurface, so do old questions - about the past, about that day he was taken away, and about why their paths are crossing again now, after everything. Some stories never really end. They wait. And this one is just beginning.

"The fuck you are leaving me." His roar cracked through the hall like lightning. Ara didn't blink. She stood there, calm as death, done to her core. No tears. No tremble. Just a weary exhale as she turned her back on him - the one thing he never thought she'd do. Before she could take a step, his hand shot out, gripping her arm like he was holding on to life itself. "Where are you going, Ara!" His command shook the pack. But she wasn't his to command. Not anymore. Ara ripped her arm free with a force that made even his wolf recoil. "Don't. Touch. Me." Her aura slammed into him, cold and merciless. "You think I'll stand here and watch you mate and breed her?" she hissed, every word a dagger. His throat bobbed. "She meant nothing." She laughed - sharp, broken, brutal. "Yeah? That's why you were fucking her in your office? Couldn't even hide the scent of your betrayal." "Ara, it was a mistake-" She stepped closer, eyes blazing. "Your mistakes come in episodes, Alpha. Season one, season two, season three. You don't make mistakes. You make choices." He swallowed hard. "I don't need her. I need you." "Lies," she spat. "Every damn sentence you breathe is a lie. I can't even look at you without feeling sick." He flinched like her words physically hit him. "That female behind you?" she pointed, not bothering to glance. "Perfect for you. Go mark her. Breed her. Hell, fuck her for all I care." Her voice cracked - but she kept going, blade steady even when bleeding. "I don't need you. Not anymore." His knees crashed to the floor. The mighty Alpha. On the ground. For her. "Ara... I'm sorry. I'm really fucking sorry." His voice broke like he finally understood what loss tasted like. She stared at him with a sad, devastating smile. "Isn't it too late for that, Mate?" One tear escaped - and she crushed it away with her thumb. Then she turned. Walked. Didn't look back. But he didn't chase her. Because he knew. He didn't just lose her. He wrecked her.
