Bakugo was one to think the least of people to protect him from breaking down. For bakugo getting people to know him is the scariest thing.
Once he gets to high school everything changes ones he gets hit by a quirk ( well at least he thinks) and poor kirishima gets warped into it to. Which brings them closer together. Maybe to close :).
