I stepped into the almost empty alleyway. A man turned around sharply and grabbed my arm squeezing it tight enough it felt like it would break at any second. He glared at me with his blue grey eyes and I could see the black tattoo on the back of his neck that wasn't completely covered by his v neck t-shirt. I could see him calculating what to do with me, I knew I had blown his cover.

Then I remembered I had a voice, and I stumbled briefly over my thoroughly rehearsed words. "Natalie, age 17, kidnapped by the Lutari royal guard at age five when they killed my family." I could see him processing the information I was feeding him. "Code word?" he breathed harshly.

"Christian Azella came for me ten years ago, he was brutally gunned down before the Lutari king and shot. Before he died he told me someone would come again and to tell them-" I paused biting my lip trying to remember Christians code word. "Zero raven." He let go of my arm and grabbed my hand, "Lets go, it isn't safe here."
