Nathalie always told herself that as long as Emilie was happy, then she was happy too. Just seeing the woman she loved happy was enough for her, so even though it hurt to watch her marry man, at least she was happy right? 

When that woman died, Nathalie left her with a promise: protect her son no matter what. And so, she became a stand in mother to Adrien.
