Ten-year-old Jackie Woods is thrown into the horrors of humiliation and abuse when she is forced to live with a distant relative after a fire destroys her family. Her only hope of escape is the letters she finds written to her father so long ago and the man who wrote them.

Thirteen-year-old Brad Crawford is robbed of his parents when a fatal car accident changes his life forever. The only thing that keeps him going is his search for a face he saw briefly in a hospital room.

Barry Crawford is the brother who is cunning, and devious by nature. He needs money to feed an addiction he can't control. He wants his brother's girl for other reasons, and he'll stop at nothing to get what he wants.

Brenda Crawford is the sister who leaves home in search of something she left behind, only to find it when she returns.

Vince Gerard is the guardian, caregiver, father, and brother. The only thing he wants is to make sure his adopted family is safe. Until he falls in love.

Kelly Joseph could be the one man that brings them all together in a small Arizona diner.

"With his death I nearly met mine. Till revenge told me to behead the King." Cameron Martinez, an unnoticed girl who lives in Chicago which seems to be Gang Headquarters for the most dangerous gangsters in America. Her oldest brother, Leon, used to be one of them and died because of it, shot in an alley late at night, alone. Leon supported the Martinez family with his earnings from being a gang member while their mother bought dope. With Leon gone, Cameron and her six siblings have rough times financially. She can do one of three things. 1. Join Leon's old gang, the Chicago Kings. 2. Be a stripper like her mother 3. Become a thief Since the first two don't remotely please her, Cameron went with the third choice. But she doesn't steal petty things such as wallets, T.Vs or anything so cheap. She decides to take from those who took the most precious thing from her; the gangs that haunt the streets and terrorize Chicago's citizens. Cameron goes around emptying the pockets of gangsters, stealing the dirty money they don't deserve. Yes, she realizes how dangerous and dumb this is, but she won't let her family starve. People will eventually see Cameron Martinez as a vigilante heroine, but it was never she who did those kind acts. She can't understand how they could think remarkably high of her when she merely wants to put food on the table. * Robbing gangs isn't smart, at all. When the Chicago Kings hear of Cam's doings, they get worried and paranoid. If one insignificant little girl has the balls to steal from them, what will stop everyone else? When Angel Montez, CK enforcer and Leon's best friend gets the command to kill the Vigilante Heroine he has a clear order. One he fully intended to follow through with. What he didn't plan was being interested in her or that she's the younger sister of the dear friend he lost. Now Angel must pick his own destiny instead of following another. I sit down on my bike looking around the school parking lot. Listening to music, I stand up begin to walk through the student-less parking lot. Honestly, it's not like I meant to be late. My music cut out causing me to hear a whistle. I stop in my tracks and pull my headphones down to my neck. Turning around, I seen a group of men with one guy who just smirked at me. "You new here beautiful?" one of the guys asked. "What do you think Einstein?" cocking my brow. "Ohh. Challenging? I like." he says walking towards me, about two inches away. "Really?" biting my lip, as he continued walking towards me. He reaches out and grabs my hip, "Mmhmm," smiling down at me. Swiftly, I grab his hand, turn him around, kick him right above the back of his knee, and pushes down so he's on his knees in front of me in a position of which I could brake his arm, "What a shame, 'cause personally, I don't like fuck boys with various STD'S." I look at all the men in the group who had their jaws dropped, all except for one, "Touch me one more time, and I'll brake your arm in two." I stand and kick his back so he falls on the concert. "Anyone else?" they stare at me blankly. "Didn't think so." When fuck boy tries to get up, I take my foot and slam him back down. Looking back at the boys, I say, "Later boys." Then, I turn and leave. ~~~~ Truce Mane is a girl who recently moved to New York with her youngest niece and nephew along with her uncle Mike. Truce went through many things as a child.
