Until the morning That was when you asked me to do this You said to wait until I was sober To finally tell you my feelings about you And when the morning came was when I asked about the events that happened that day And when you told me up until the moment That was when I knew I still kept your jacket Even though you never wanted it back And I didn't take it in real life But in my dreams I was like a sleeping beauty With a knight and shining armor blanket Which felt so warm and cozy once it touched my skin And with a warning it was the last thing I remembered of yesterday But when I said to you that I won't give it back unless you tell why you were so upset And then I remembered the one request you made at sunset and that was to not be ready to kiss you at midnight but to be ready to kiss you when I was sober at sunrise and until the morning that was what I dreamt about the feeling of being able to not just write it down and wish it but to manifest it for real as if I was waking up next to you outside of my dreams and telling you all the things I had dreamt about you but to me I would have kept it to myself because I would not have wanted to spoil the surprise that was waiting from sunset until the morning after midnight where the kiss would be more than a few words of feeling at home with my heart and the one I love was a never-ending final chapter of the last beating heart of love and mystery dreams inside of a story.
