That's why her parents organise a selection where 30 men will hold for the princess hand. Everything goes as planned until she realises...
This story plays in the future. After multiple wars the world slowly collapses and some people gather. They shield a few countries from the attacks and built the kingdoms in a barrier that protects them from the toxicity of the air after the wars.
These countries, like Maya, work peacefully with a royal family but with a council which represents the people.
(the idea of the world is inspired by "Royal", but not the story;)
