Six months after the events that left the Brotherhood of Evil in shambles and many of its affiliates cryofozen for all eternity, the legal system in Jump City has a change of heart (with perhaps a little sway from a certain newcomer to the Teen Titans); a fair trial for five of the villains who were present during the altercation, a second chance as some might call it, to walk away free men and receive the opportunity for a normal life. But what could the HIVE Five ever have that could be considered a normal life? And if the citizens of the Jump City don't trust them enough to give them a chance, how are they supposed to prove that they can turn over a new leaf? Sometimes it is easier to return to what one already knows and hope for the best. Of course, that is difficult when one decides to blow up the judge selected to oversee their hearing and then drags them all out into the night, making it appear that they were involved in the scheme to begin with. But what exactly is Blackfire's plan for the five of them and why does it feel like she may have...more ulterior motives for them? Perhaps, if they are clever, they can still save the city and prove to everyone that they can be heroes too. If they're lucky. //Book 1 in the H.I.V.E series// Disclaimer: All characters belong to DC and the cover is not mine. Also, this is solely based on the Teen Titan cartoons. I haven't read the comics yet. :')
