On her 14th birthday, Ahmya sits alone on her porch gripped by sorrow, remembering the death of her first love, and riddled with guilt for embarking on a life without her. Every morning she sits outside in silence gazing at her first loves childhood home just beyond the tall grass, contemplating what life would have been like with her and desperately hoping to see her again soon . . . counting down the days she has left.

To her surprise, on this special day, she is approached by an unexpected visitor, and the new visitor shares remarkable similarities with Ahmya's first love-the visitor embodies Ahmya's old love through her voice, personality and mannerisms. Pleased to have her company and to converse with her, Ahmya shares the story of her life, and in turn, is forced to relive his tragic past in order to understand the significance of her visit.
