Geralt accepts a normal contract for a murderous mermaid issued by a Duke. Jaskier is a merman who claims he has reasons for why he had to murder the fisherman. Geralt is forced to decide Jaskier's guilt, and his fate. However, along the way it proves itself impossible to stay neutral to the siren's song.

Jaskier turns and runs, feet digging desperately for traction in the slippery sand. Geralt barely notices the wounds in his leg and side as he gives chase, silver sword shining in his hand.
