Twelve years ago, ten children were taken from their families and hidden away in a facility known only as "The Compound." Their memories were wiped to prepare them for what lay ahead.
And then their nightmare began.
Twelve years of experiments conducted on them to test their abilities, known as "Gifts." Twelve years of suffering. Twelve years of being lost to time and being turned into a myth, a warning whispered into misbehaving young children's ears.
Not everybody forgot.
A Rebellion is on the rise, and they will not be denied any longer. They will rescue the children and overthrow the government that allowed it to happen, or die trying.
"Yeah, it was. I'm sorry, but I had no choice."

District 12 holds many memories of the past. The past is a burden to carry and it may never leave them. New things will rise in District 12. Will peace ever come? After the games have been destroyed, they thought it would be all over, life may never be perfect again. The future after destruction isn't always what you've dreamed of.
