Summer was over, and it was time to get back to school. Mabel, who just got back from their great uncles' place, is excited to show and tell her twin about all the cool stuff that happened, though she isn't suspecting to accidentally bring a certain yellow demon with her to California... After the episode "Sock Opera" where Mabel got possessed by Bill, the dream demon was able to teleport to her mind right before being destroyed, leaving him very weak but also very much alive.
