The Perpetrator behind the entire mess that was Sword Art Online was finally uncovered. Heathcliff the Divine Sword, now also known as Akihiko Kayaba engaged in a final duel with the hero of the story, Kirto the black swordsman. However, nothing should go as planned as an unknown force began to overwhelm Aincrad's and with that SAO's anti-hacking measures, bringing down Kayaba's life work. 
The course of history was changes as the flying castle appeared together with the first wave above the village of Lurolona..
-SAO X TROTSH (The Rising of the Shield Hero) Crossover inspired by the likes of Helkeginia Online (If you don't know it, just check it out, it's very good)
-My more "realistic" head cannon (less lovey-dovey between girls and Kirito (lucky bastard)); will be explained throughout the story; other changes might or might not occur which will be explained in the story
-And, obviously, SAO and ROTSH belong not to me (surprise), but to their respective owners (bless them for their good work)

Times have changed. These were the thoughts that an intelligent young boy had every single day. This boy was different compared to others in more ways than one. One of those being his passion for strategy and combat. For him, seeing films or reading books of battles that happened long ago made him want to travel back in time. Going as far as sneaking out of his home to learn multiple styles of sword fighting from different Dojos despite it straining his body. However, even after all of this, he was never satisfied. To him, Darwinism played a key role in his life, believing that due to his body, he was unfit to keep alive. Bound to a fragile body, uninterested in the world around him, and lacking motivation for anything else in life due to his belief, he decided to just wait for his time to come. That was when his uncle took it upon himself to show him a new world where he could thrive. A world called: Aincrad. Note: Some characters ages may be different in the story. Asuna leads Kirito to Ume's family's hospital and asked to see her. When they reach her, they expect her to be awake and send a sarcastic remark for not knocking, but instead, she is still unconscious and shows no signs of waking up soon. Everyday, they visit her, or Evey few days, but still she lays there, unmoving. Then, Kirito gets an email from Agil with a picture, and in it was of a girl with snow white hair and icy blue eyes and wings made of crystal. Kirito tells Asuna to wait for him, that he'll save Ume, and return. She is drawn to him, though she does not understand why. But she wants to know why he is alone, why he fights solo.
