Ethan Winters was lead to believe his wife died, while out on a job with her friend, due to going missing after a video they sent to him 3 years ago around 2014 

but he was sent an email from Mia -Now being 2017- telling him to go pick her and her friend up with a small address at the bottom of the email: Dulvy Louisiana, Bakers farm

So Ethan, eger to see his wife -though also worried it's a sick prank- packed some bags and left, starting his drive to Louisiana

After a long drive he was disappointed to find, a crazy family preventing him from leaving.
