After navigating adolescent life with divorced parents, Daniel finds himself unmotivated for the nine-to-five future he knows is coming. With news going around about the serial killer the police haven't been able to catch, Daniel is forced into close proximity with his step-family. At the young age of seventeen, he'd give anything for a day doing something different. Apparently different means waking up in an underground facility surrounded by people claiming you're part of their society: the Korenye. Shedding his identity to save his loved ones, Daniel has to set out across North America to track down members of the Korenye that have gone missing at the hands of Bounties, monsters unlike any Daniel had ever seen. With the clock indefinitely counting down, Daniel learns what his powers are, but how to use them for more than just himself. But death can only knock so many times before it lets itself in...
