...thorns embedded in your skin. Caution kicks in. Always on edge, as if I might hurt you someday. Raised with the shadow of being a monster. Fearful of saying something wrong. Afraid to cause any harm. Sensitivity built like a mountain, too scared to hurt, not realizing that I've been hurt too. Too afraid, because I am the monster.
