Tears rush down to my cheeks and splatter on the wood floor of Danny's university apartment. He has an imprint on his face from the creases in his pillow and keeps blinking and rubbing his eyes. I sit on the edge of his bed and his hand rests on my knee. He's crouched in front of me in a pair of basketball shorts. "I don't know why I did it." I hiccup. "I should've just said no!" I take a shaky breath, my chest moving erratically. "And t-they all saw me freak out!" Danny's fingertips skate up and down my thigh and he doesn't say anything. "I mean, who wants to be with somebody like me? I can't even handle a sip! Y-you should just go and find somebody who can handle herself! You deserve better than me!" "Don't say that." He murmurs, raising my hand to his lips. He kisses each one of my knuckles with love and care, and then he looks up at me and smiles softly. "I choose you. No matter what the circumstance, no matter who comes along, I pick you. I'm here for you and I'm here with you. I'm fighting for you and I'm fighting with you. I love you. I don't care if you have to stay up all night to cry. I'll stay up with you. There is nothing you can do to make me love you any less, and there is nothing you can do to make me leave. I'm here, right here, forever." Too broken to be fixed,(Book 1) by XxSignehansenxx
200 parts Complete Mature
Danny Gonzalez has spent every day since his wife's death pretending he's still the man he used to be. To everyone else, he's a devoted father, a loving partner, and a man doing his best. But inside, he feels like a hollowed-out version of himself, a person going through the motions while carrying a weight too heavy to bear. His grief has settled deep into his bones, twisting into something darker, something suffocating. No matter how much love surrounds him-from his three children, Max, Sophia, and Emily, to his partner, Drew, and their closest friend, Kurtis-Danny can't shake the feeling that he's drowning in a life that no longer feels like his own. Drew has always been steady, the one person who never wavers, never turns away, never lets go. Their relationship was never meant to be anything more than shared responsibility and support, but over time, the lines blurred. It wasn't something either of them planned-love just found a way in between the late-night talks, the quiet reassurances, and the unspoken understanding between them. But love, no matter how deep, can't erase the scars Danny carries, and it can't make him believe he's worthy of it. Day by day, the weight of his own mind drags him further away from the people who need him most. His body is present, but his soul feels like it's slipping further into a place no one can reach. He knows the world around him is still moving-his children growing, his partner waiting, his best friend watching with quiet concern-but he feels like he's already been left behind. Survival is supposed to be the first step toward healing, but Danny isn't sure he wants to be healed. He isn't sure he deserves it. And as the days pass, as the darkness grows heavier, the question isn't whether he'll be okay-it's whether he can keep pretending long enough for the people who love him to stop hoping he will be.

Not His Blood, Still His Kid

12 parts Ongoing Mature

Jason was just feeling okay. He no longer felt like bashing someone's skull in just because they annoyed him just a little too long. Then he found a kid with glowing green eyes that was freezing to the touch. Honestly, he didn't know what he was doing when he took them in. But God be damned if anyone thinks they're just going to take his baby and not see the end of a glowing hot gun barrel. (This is being copied over from my ao3 account, hope you enjoy it!)
