[Disclaimer: The cover art is partially mine. I do not own Kung Fu Panda, credits go to DreamWorks.] Scarred from the horrors of the Great War, devastated and heartbroken from humiliation, a German veteran named Biermann is discontent and emotionally torn from within. Love is nonexistent, and his faith in humanity had fallen. A dying breath of many close friends in the years of the war had smeared his mind so much so, no other power in the world could move him to tears. In essence, only the rifle and a few stick grenades gave him 'hope'. He befriends a scientist who takes a particular interest in, mainly due to his comforting words and passion for experimentation that keeps Biermann from contemplating about his life. Later, he joins a militia soon after realizing he has no other option to gain income. When Biermann is sent to quell a revolution, later known as the Spartacist Uprising, the scientist's home is raided by several fleeing Communists, and as such, he attempts to defend his home. However, in the chaos that follows, he accidently triggers a mechanism of a machine that teleports him into a time vortex to the past, nearly killing him in the process. When conscious, much to his shock and dismay, he finds out that the world he teleported to is unlike any other he expected. Within this new world of two-legged talking animals, Biermann is confused beyond all compare, and for the first time, begins to wonder in amazement of these strange beings and at how surreal the surroundings resembled. A surge of determination soon overtakes his mind as he begins to explore, befriend and learn from others in this strange world, but finally meets the love of his life after much hardship and differences were put over the way side. But the story does not end there...Oh no.
