Grieving before the process has even started. This book contains real struggles of mental health awareness in the late 90s. Carter a young girl, who is just fighting to gain a happy aspect on life is admitted to a hospital to undergo treatment. They make friends along the way as well as truly realize how down played mental health is at the time.
I decided to write this to show the true struggles that everyone faces regarding their thoughts and feelings. I didn't want to romanticize or sugar coat mental health. This book is intended for mature audiences and some topics in the book may be triggering to certain readers. I will place trigger warnings at the beginning of each chapter has well as hotlines at the end.
