PREMISE
Just living through each day as though it were a fleeting page in one of her books, twenty four year old Rose Johnson accepts her simple, mundane life living with her father in their small but homey apartment complex while balancing working part time at the local cafe and studying to become a midwife.
Lightyears away, the Phúlax, an ancient race of nomad warriors, have protected the galaxy and its inhabitants for generations from their hidden enemies, the Ruinae, and their unknown agenda.
Christian Phúlax, son of famous Commander Xavier Phúlax, and newly appointed Captain of the Royal Guard, is charged with investigating the alarming rise in cases of planets being infected by the mysterious 'mutagen- X'. His investigation, however, takes a sudden turn when he and his team follow a lead to the most unexpected and unexceptional planet - earth.
Through a chance encounter, Christian and Rose are forced to put their differences aside and band together to investigate mutagen-X cases in the hopes of finding the cause - and the cure - before it's too late.

Shortly after opening her own machinic shop, she catches the watchful and protective eye of the president of an MC called the Angels. Xavier (Axe) Balck is one of the kindessed men that you could possibly meet at least to his town and fellow bikers, but to anyone outside the community, that's not the case. After driving past a new machinic shop that opened in town, he is quickly caught in the beauty of a light brown haired goddess, but little does he know someone already has what is left of her heart. Will Rose let Axe into her life, or will she run him off and keep her and her kids safe from heartbreak. _______________ After having to bartender flirt with me for the last hour, I finally gave up and went over to the table where my friends have been sitting with a group of men. I ask, pushing his hand away. I see Cory and Cavin both stand up, ready to help me if needed, but I shake my head, signaling that I've got this. "I've been making passes at you all night just for you to ignore me like an ungreatful bitch." he says spitting slightly on my face I see my boys looking deadly but Ionly smirk at them which they return. "The only ungreatful bitch I see is you if a girl ignores your passes it means she's noy intrested so go back to your bar like a good little boy you are." Aliens have been here before... one was left behind. Eighteen-year- old Zoe must find him and she doesn't have much time. Along with the alien, a beacon was left on Earth which when activated, opens a portal through which the aliens will return. The extraterrestrials visit Earth to usurp Qi, Earth's vital energy. If the extraterrestrials go too long without Qi, people on the alien planet will die. However, when Qi is extracted from Earth, the weak and elderly of Earth will die. The beacon can only be activated by the alien who was left here and only when the planets are in a particular alignment. The next time is only two months away during the Autumnal Equinox. When Zoe discovers who the alien is, it's a complete game changer because the alien is closer to her than she ever could have imagined. The story takes place in a small town surrounded by forest near the Oregon-California border. Of course it does, after all, the highest concentration of Qi is found in forests where ancient redwoods grow. You might be wondering, what is Qi? In Japan it is called "ki," and in India, "prana"." The ancient Egyptians referred to it as "ka," and the ancient Greeks as "pneuma." In Africa, it's known as "ashe" and in Hawaii as "mana." She comes to realize the world isnt as unforgiving and cold as it seems. She's saved by a native who dislikes humans as much as the next guy but shes intent on sticking by his side in order to survive. The only issue being is the last thing he wants is a pathetic, weak human girl following him around. (Limited time only read!) Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along.
