After the maze, they were rescued by a man who says he's part of an organization against WICKED. They meet his daughter, a young blonde girl, and her friend, a young brunette who caught Minho's attention.
As soon as they got rescued, they're taken far away from the maze, to a place guaranteed safe from WICKED. They train there, sleep there, even study there. They start to live their normal lives ever since, with their memories slowly flooding back.
After a while, WICKED strikes back. They start their awful revenge on the people who took the gladers away from them and uses them for their experiment. What will happen next?

"We are never getting out of here are we," I said to my best friend without the slightest bit of hope. "Come on, Teddy. Don't think like that," he says trying to reassure me. I notice him fidgeting with his hands, knowing I'm probably right. We are both standing on the Watch tower, leaning over the railing. I look across the Glade. I study the people and my surroundings. I remember when I first met Newt. Two young kids finding their way out of the Maze. We protected each other at all costs. We still do.
