The Broken Doll

Lillianna Monson is perfect, at least on the outside, she is. Lily's life is full of rules and structure and normally that's a good thing for a kid, but in Lily's case, it isn't. Lily lives in a golden cage, her mother treats her daughter like a doll. A thing to take out and show off, everything about her must be absolutely perfect from the way she dressed, the way she fixes her hair, her manners, her conversational skills, her grades, her extra curricular activities, everything must be perfect. It would seem that her life is perfect because she's perfect, but it isn't. Lily is punished if she doesn't meet her mother's expectations, which is often. Lily feels like a disappointment because of her mother and her expectations that feel like Mount Everest. Nothing, it seems, is ever good enough for Lily's mother. But, what will happen when Lily's "perfect" life is shattered?

Ella Monson is Lily's twin sister, only they weren't raised together. Ella and Lily were separated when they were a year old. Ella and their older brothers all stayed with their dad and their mother took Lily. Ella's life has actually been perfect, she's happy and healthy, she doesn't have the expectations that Lily does. Ella has friends, clubs, and activities that she loves, she has her brothers because their father passed away, who she adores. Ella has everything but she still feels like something's missing and she can't figure out what it is. What will happen when her life changes in a way she never thought it could?

Chance Monson is the girls' oldest brother, he became the legal guardian of his younger brothers and sister after his father passed away. Chance made it his mission in life to make sure his siblings get to live the lives they want, they have everything they need, and are happy and healthy. There's one thing though, his youngest sister isn't in his life anymore.
