We had two classes together this semester, history and french. We sat across from each other but barely spoke. He would spend his days laughing and joking with his mates, and I would just watch from afar. He was funny, or maybe he wasn't. Maybe I was just nervously laughing when his gaze would lift and his eyes would lock into mine.
