In the past, calamity befell the world as the gods ravaged everything. To stop the devastation, the strongest god, The Great Balancer, used his power to seal away all of the gods. However, it was prophesized that they will one day return. Due to The Great Balancer sealing away the gods, he used up all his power and thus can not stop them. Therefore, a great champion is made to fight and defeat all of them when they come back. The Insurgent of the gods, can he stop them or will humanity lose its only hope?

The rest of humanity then began hunting down the 52 card users with extreme violence, but since a card would randomly pass to another person in the world, they began imprisoning them. Years past, now in modern-day, a boy hurt and scared because of the hunt for the card wielders, blames the gods and so the Devil bestowed upon him their card.
