Mel, a housewife is dissatisfied with her marriage to her abusive husband Cam. Grappling with unprocessed grief and trauma from years earlier she finally decides to leave him and move down to Colorado and stay with her long-lost best friend, Laurie. Laurie though is dealing with hardships of her own. Dealing with the stress of her ailing wife's health, stirred up memories and the repression of her feelings she begrudgingly allows Mel to stay. Sadie, Laurie's wife is the spectator as this all unfolds, meanwhile she reflects on her life being disabled and a lesbian, providing stark contrast to her wife. A story of redemption, healing, LGBTQ+ exploration, chronic illness and disability.
