I wrote this play for a man. Our long-distance relationship seemed like Romeo and Juliet's balcony scene. The story is based on the original Shakespearean work, but I tried to make it deeper to capture and cherish all of the moments we shared together. The play is full of metaphors, so don't take everything literally. Mostly, it is about my insecurities regarding the long-distance aspect, and the play actually came before we were able to see each other in real life. He wanted to see my poems, but I gave him something more precious-the most precious gift I was ever able to give.Complete
Macbeth
"Macbeth" tells the story of a brave Scottish general named Macbeth who receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders King Duncan and takes the throne for himself. He is then wracked with guilt and paranoia, and he soon becomes a tyrannical ruler as he is forced to commit more and more murders to protect himself from enmity and suspicion. The bloodbath and consequent civil war swiftly take Macbeth and Lady Macbeth into the realms of arrogance, madness, and death. Cover by @newsies-Complete
